Montana Supporting Soldiers is now Doing Business as MT Supporting Military
Since our organization was founded in 2003 we have supported troops with all the military branches. The word "Soldiers" has caused misunderstanding over the years. We hope that this small change clarifies that we do support our Airmen, Marines, Sailors, and Soldiers...... as well as their families.
Montana Supporting Soldiers is a nonprofit organization with 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status. Montana Supporting Soldiers will be Doing Business as MT Supporting Military.
What We Do
We send care packages throughout the year to troops deployed around the globe. It is a huge morale booster to receive packages filled with needed items, decorations, and handwritten cards of support and appreciation.
We help families of the deployed by providing support and guidance. Most of us have had loved ones deployed, so we understand.
Whenever troops we are supporting are wounded, we contact them or their families at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to see how we can help. We provide support for wounded Montana troops and their families in various ways when they return home.
Where in the World are Our Troops
According to the most recent statistics available at the Defense Manpower Data Center, there are about 1.3 million military personnel on active duty. About 200,000 of those personnel are deployed around the world. Service members serve on all seven continents, and on all the seas. Military personnel are in more than 170 countries.
Since 2003 MT Supporting Military has supported troops in 19 countries, other undisclosed locations, and on several Navy ships. The troops are far away from their families and friends, often in extremely dangerous situations. No matter where they are or what their mission is, it is important that we send care packages to let them know we are thinking about them.
